James started his studies at Queens University Belfast, one of the most prestigious universities in the UK.

After completion of his Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, he went on to work in one of the leading Pharmacy chains in Northern Ireland, Northern Pharmacies Ltd.

After a number of years working in this high paced environment, James moved on to set up and grow one of the largest Online Pharmacies in the UK, Chemist4U.

Chemist4U is one of the UK’s leading digital pharmacy groups with access to a range of medical services.

His work at Chemist4U inspired James to qualify as a prescribing pharmacist, which gives him the authority to prescribe medications to suitable patients.

This qualification has widened the range of treatments he can provide to his patients, helping James to realise his goal of making essential medications available to all.

Whilst owning and operating Chemist4U, James began working with Professor Frank Joseph through Spire Hospital Group.

Under Franks guidance, James became an expert in weight management, using revolutionary treatments to achieve improved health outcomes for patients suffering from obesity and associated complex conditions.

Frank and James decided that there needed to be more accessibility to this specialist care, and with the COVID-19 pandemic highlighting the need for remote services, they decided to launch myBMI.

One of the UK’s first virtual platforms delivering some of the most revolutionary weight management treatments available, along with the other 3 key pillars to battling the chronic condition that is obesity, Education, Dietary Management, & Exercise support.
