What You Will Need:
  • 2 chicken breasts (seasoning optional)
  • Your favourite rice (microwave or boil cook)
  • 1 red pepper (or your favourite pepper!)
  • 1 brown onion
  • 1 handful of kidney beans
  • Grated cheese (optional - you can use as much cheese as you prefer)
  • Chicken seasoning (optional)
  • 1 pack of tortilla wraps
  • A frying pan or air fryer
How To Prep And Cook:
  1. Chop up the chicken breasts & season:

    Using a sharp knife, chop the chicken breasts into small bite-sized pieces. Then rub your chosen seasoning into the chicken.

  2. Start frying the chicken:

    Using a frying pan, with a little bit of frying oil, start to cook the chicken at gas mark 6 (medium-high or 204 degrees). Let this cook away while you prep the rest of your meal - but remember to keep flipping!

  3. *If you chose boil-cook rice* start your rice:

    Heat a pan of boiled water on your hob at a high temperature, pour your desired amount of rice (2 servings) into the pot and let it boil away.

    If you chose microwave rice, you don't need to start your rice until the chicken is nearly cooked.
  4. Prep the peppers and onions:

    Chop and dice up the peppers and onions into small cubes.

  5. Put the peppers, onions & kidney beans into the pan:

    Add the peppers and onions that you prepped into the frying pan with the chicken. Add a bit more seasoning and mix it all up! Then add in the kidney beans and let it sizzle.

  6. *If you chose microwave-cook rice* Start cooking your rice:

    Once your chicken is almost fully cooked, put 2 servings of rice into the microwave. 

  7. Add the rice to the frying pan:

    To make everything extra tasty, add your chosen rice to the frying pan and mix everything up.

  8. Prep your tortilla wraps:

    Lay your tortilla wraps out flat, and sprinkle the grated cheese all over the wrap. Add a sauce of your choice for some extra flavour.

  9. Fill the wrap and fold:

    Place the burrito mix onto the wraps, in a horizontal line towards the bottom of the wrap. You could even add an extra layer of cheese here! 

    To fold the wrap start by folding both sides of the wrap over the filling, then start rolling from the bottom upwards, ensuring that the sides stay tucked in nicely.

  10. Grill the wrap to seal:

    Put the wrap onto the frying pan, with the open edge down. optionally - you can turn the burrito so that it is fully-grilled And you're done!

  11. Pair this with a side-dish of your choice and enjoy!
